When it comes to cosmetics, whether you are a seasoned professional or just bought your first beauty haul, we makeup lovers need to identify our grab + go products. Those products that take the guess work out of application. Just *boom* it's on and so am I. No tricky formulas that take a brush and a sponge and a powder to look good. Because sometimes we want to hit snooze and not spend a ton of time on our face. Sometimes we totally forgot to set an alarm but by some luck aren't late, yet, and must scramble out the door. But not before makeup, of course. Adding the Black Radiance True Complexion BB Cream to your repertoire will have you ready for the day in minutes!
I like to use the Real Techniques 301 Flat Contour brush to apply this BB Cream in thin even swipes down my face. You don't need a primer.. It will just sit on top of the primer and not look good at all. The formula sets almost instantly and clings to your face. It feels like a light gel that melts on to your skin. It sets with a radiant skin finish that feels like nothing is on your face. My favorite way to wear the product is by brushing it straight on to my skin and blending some bronzer in that E-3 formation. Top of the forehead, under the cheekbone, and under the jaw. Then just finish with whatever lip I'm feeling that day. I feel so 'summer-vibes' when I wear it. The BB Cream gives minimal coverage but evens out your skin tone. A sort of 'my skin but better' look. Because the formula sets, blending a powder bronzer goes on smooth and evenly.
If you need more coverage, this BB Cream may not be for you. I found that it does not work with other liquid or cream products which means concealer is out of the question. Unless you use a powder concealer/foundation. Applying liquid or cream concealer either over or under the True Complexion BB Cream were both total fails. The BB Cream sets too quickly for you blend anything with it. It's not formulated for that full coverage look so don't even try.
There is one other down side to this formula. You can't, you can not touch your face once you're done with your makeup. I wear glasses full-time with no part-time contacts. Other than having poor vision, the true pain in the butt about wearing glasses is having to adjust where they sit on your face throughout the day. Which also means you have to touch up any makeup that your frames may cause to slide around. Well. When wearing this BB Cream, while adjusting my glasses I noticed that some of the makeup had rubbed off. This is a normal, regular occurrence. But the True Complexion BB Cream didn't just rub off, it crumbled off. If you touch your face while wearing the product, the makeup balls up and rubs off your face.
With the quick swipe of a brush, this product is on and easy to wear. Completely affordable. It just looks good. You'll be up and ready to go!
