Naomi Campbell Made A Makeup Tutorial And Now Every Internet Beauty Guru Has Some Explaining To Do

@bufferingbetty

First Step: Be Naomi Campbell

Nothing speaks to the power of Youtube like the trend of celebrities creating their own lifestyle vlog channels. J.Lo, Adrienne Bailon, Shay Mitchell, and, now, Naomi Campbell. This supermodel gave us selfie models the deets to her quick makeup routine and -just, wow. Thank you.

First off, Ms. Campbell starts the video with her immaculate bare skin -the woman has no need for makeup. Makeup needs Naomi. After years of getting her makeup done by the industry’s best, of course Naomi has picked up a few tricks along the way.

“My quick 5 minutes -er, no.. my quick few minutes makeup”

With her skin looking like hydration is thristy, she begins with some concealer to highlight her T-zone.

NARS
Soft Matte Complete Concealer

“Highlighting the T-zone is always important”

“I love using these [triangles]. They lay flat and dont apply too much [product].”

Throw out your beauty blender, folks, and get you a big pack of wedges!

FantaSea
Latex Free Foam Wedges

Naomi’s look was all about highlighting her bone structure and keeping the look as minmal as possible.

“i dont really where base on my forehead because I want to look like I dont really have anything on.”

For this look, instead of apply foundation all over the face, use a highlighting concealer on the center of your face and blend outward.

Pause. Can you believe she just has concealer in the center of her face??? The woman is just stunning.

Concealer. Contour. Blush. Boom. Naomi Campbell.

NARS
Contour Blush in Gienah

One of the biggest takeaways from this tut is that we all need to scrap how we’ve been applying blush. Naomi prefers “high blush.” Apply your blush to high part of you cheek rather than the apple.

“High blush not low blush. I dont like to apply blush on low cheeks. I think looks like clowny and takes away from the bone structure”

NARS
Blush in Geity

She blended the highlight and blush shade from the NARS cheek palette for highlight.

Nars
Man Ray The Veil Cheek Palette

She finished the look with some brightening powder under her eyes.

NARS
Soft Velvet Pressed Powder in Mountain

And threw on the tinyest bit of purple eye shadow. She used the darkest shade from this palette and did a wash of color.

“Purple is my favorite color”

NARS
Quad Eyeshadow in Tropical Express

She shared that when she was younger, NARS Honolulu Honey was her favorite lipstick.

NARS
Satin Lipstick in Honolulu Honey

“After years of sitting in a chair for so many hours, when I do it, it has to be a minute thing.”

She skipped mascara entirely because her lash extensions were so beautiful and she said she doesn’t really wear mascara.

She likes a ‘pinky’ lip and blended these two glosses together.

NARS
Lip Gloss in Sexual Conduct

NARS
Lip Gloss in Outrage

There were a few moments where our hearts dropped. To remove the excess powder, Naomi Campbell kept blowing on her brushes!

What is happening!

But don’t you dare come for Naomi.

Everyone was just honored to be here, honestly.

Facts. We’ve been played. Stop using 600 products to get the same results as Naomi’s look.

Naomi doesn’t need a lot of anything.

KKW Body Foundation Changed This Woman's Life And Shut Down Haters On Twitter

@bufferingbetty

So many feels!

KKW Beauty released a body foundation and, as goes everything with the notorious Kardashian family, there was drama. Everyone had a strong opinion to share. But one influencer had a story about her mom that made Twitter take a seat and actually listen.

Katrina is a beauty blogger (@treeeenz) who wanted her followers to know exactly why the KKW Skin Perfecting Body Foundation deserved some love and support.

On Twitter, Katrina shared this photo of her mom’s legs. One leg has had the KKW Body foundation applied to it while the other leg is red and has discoloration.

“this is why i bought my mom the @kkwbeauty body foundation. with my mom’s sickness, she developed a skin condition and she’s been so embarrassed to even wear shorts or dresses out in public. she got so extremely happy after i applied the body foundation and i’m so emotional rn” @treeeenz

“this is why i was getting so angry about everyone who was saying this was a stupid product. please be mindful that not everyone has perfect skin/legs/etc. i can’t wait to take my mom out this summer and her not being self conscious about her illness”

She got many replies to her tweet supporting her. Some even shared their own insecurities.

Others, not so much.

I could see this having some truth. But I wonder if this person has an issue with the whole beauty industry?

I think this is a great concept. KKW Beauty is hardly the first brand to release body foundation. I remember as a teen when my mom came home with a body foundation to cover her vericose veins. I didn’t think she needed it but that’s not for me to decide.

While I see the point about “promoting unrealistic standards of perfection” from the whole beauty industry, not just the Kardashians, I think a lot of people are missing a point. Choice + growth. Choose to wear whatever you want. My mom chose to wear makeup on her legs in the summer. And eventually, she got tired of applying foundation to her legs are learned to accept them. The process of covering up her legs, made her engaged with them more and I think that is how she got over that insecurity. I haven’t heard my mom talk about how her veins look in years. Hopefully, Katrina’s mom goes through that same growth. And even if she continues to cover her legs, it is her choice. Respect that.

Watch This Video If You’re Thinking Of Getting Lip Fillers

Huda Beauty Founder Says “Lip Filler Ruined My Lips.”

Scrolling through the discover page on Instagram has me convinced that the people getting cosmetic fillers in their face are getting younger and younger. Something that we saw mostly on middle aged female celebrities is now something that we see on folks in their 20s. Huda Kattan, the founder of one of the top selling cosmetics brands, Huda Beauty, shared on Instagram IGTV her story with lip fillers and how after 10 years of getting lip fillers, she never actually got what she was looking for.

Huda Kattan is was first known for her beauty blog and her Instagram full of beauty hack videos. Now, you know her self named cosmetics company.

In the IGTV video, the almost 36 year old opens up about the first time she got lip fillers injected in 2009 after doing little to no research of her own. She talks about how, at that time, fillers weren’t very popular but she thought that she “would look more attractive” after the injections.

The Emirati doctor in Dubai who was the first person to give Huda lip fillers gave her 4 lip injections. While her lips were bigger, Huda says they had “no shape.” Over the years, she’s had them fixed and refilled by some well known doctors.

But still, Huda told her viewers that,

“Lip filler is not bad but I did not get what I was looking for.”

The filler just made her lips plumper. What that means is that any fine lines she may have had would have been stretched out and less visible. What she was actually looking for was more height to her lips.. Something she says later in the video can be ‘fixed’ with makeup. She also gives her audience and tutorial on how she overdraws her top lip to make it appear larger.

Over time, the filler started to move to be between her lips and her nose making her appear older and look ‘fake’ as if she had had a ton of work done.

After being advised by a doctor to remove the lip filler because, yes, the injections made her look older, Huda made the decision to have the filler in her top lip dissolved. Which is done by, yup, another type of lip injection.

Huda on the process of having her lip filler dissolved:

“I gave birth without epidural. I was super calm, I can take pain ….and let me tell you, (dissolving the lip filler) was painful.”

So after a decade of lip injections and the painful process of having them removed, Huda’s advice to those considering getting their lips altered:

“Mess around with makeup before you
mess around with a needle.”

Zero Waste Skincare Brand That Is Perfect For Your Tree Hugging Bestie

@bufferingbetty

Captain Planet would be so proud.

A growing trend amongst Millennials consumers is shopping with more social consciousness. Rather than just buying from a brand that sells a product, they want to feel like they’re supporting a brand who stands for a cause. Loli Beauty is here for anyone looking to shop from a company that is looking to change the culture of the beauty industry by protecting our ever changing environment. Global warming is real, my loves. Loli Beauty is making their mark by producing products that are zero waste by designing packaging that is reuseable and compostable.

Meet Loli Beauty

Social conscious shopping isn’t a trend that is exclusive to the beauty industry. It seems that it is no longer enough for a brand to ‘round up to the next dollar’ to donte to a charity. It is becoming an expectation for a brand to voice, for example, stances on political issues.

Relatively recently, Nike made a bold statement when it chose to feature NFL player, Colin Kaepernick in a campaign. I haven’t ever watched a pro football game in my life; not even the one time I attended a Superbowl party. But, even I know that Kaepernick, now a household name, caused waves each time he knelt during the singing of the National Anthem to protest the police brutality of black people. By Nike featuring Kaepernick, they told its consumers that they support the athlete’s message.

Was Nike’s campaign for coin or was it in earnest, that’s an answer that will never truly be known. By Loli Beauty designing a zero waste company, they are acknowledging the validity of Global Warming: a topic that politicians themselves still dispute despite the overwhelming scientific evidence.

Of course, beauty isn’t new to voicing an opinion. There dozens of brands who express passion for ethical practices such as being cruelty free or fair trade. Beauty bloggers and consumers have rejected lines that neglect to have more inclusive shade ranges or do not feature people of color as regularly as white models. The world i changing and getting smaller. If these brands want to stay relevant and make money, they’ve got to adapt. Protecting the future of our environment is one of those causes. It’s why freshman Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has gaining popularity.

The Beauty industry thrives on consumerism. So we should do it more responsibly. According to Gary Gardner, director of research for Worldwatch, said, "[m]ost of the environmental issues we see today can be linked to consumption, As just one small example, there was a story in the newspaper just the other day saying that 37 percent of species could become extinct due to climate change, which is very directly related to consumption" (source).

Consumers spend $18 billion globally every year (source). We can do more to help the environment and Loli Beauty can help you make that important first step.

Beauty is a luxury at all price points. It isn’t an absolute necessity for me to paint my eyebrows into something other than what nature gave me, but it is part of the human condition to be just a little bit obsessed with our looks. Cosmetics go as far back as Ancient Egypt; we’ve all attempted that signature Cleopatra eyeliner. So it is unlikely that these levels of consumerism will decrease. In turn, consumers need to do more to encourage brands to reduce waste.

We can be concerned with Mercury’s retrograde’s affect on us while recognizing how our treatment of the planet where we live is affected by our behaviors. And change them.

LOLI stands for Living Organic Loving Ingredients.

Loli doesn’t just want you to have products that nourish your skin but they care about what you do with the jars once the product is finished! In a article about packaging, WWD writer, Jennifer Weil, said, “green is the fastest-growing theme for beauty packaging these days.”

“From our food-grade, glass yogurt jars that can be reused for food storage , to our certified compostable labels, bags and boxes, we are thoughtful in our choices and mindful of both the planet and people” (LOLI)

As I though Loli Beauty didn’t think through how many jars a person store without concerning people, they did shut me down! They announced via instagram it;s new refill program! Keep your original jar and order a refill of your product in a compostable pouch. Plus you’ll get 30% off. Everyone wins!

One of the features I love on their site is how Loli proudly displays the ingredients of each product.

And breaks down all the details you need to know about their products.

Kat Von D Addresses Nazi + Anti-Vaxx Scandal In An 11 Min Youtube Video

@bufferingbetty

"I'm Not Anti-Semitic And I Am Not An Anti-Vaxxer"

Kat Von D is fighting to take her name back and shut down rumors that she’s grown weary of hearing. She addresses gossip that she is a Nazi and an Anti Vaxxer in a youtube video that’s amassed nearly 1,6 million views thus far.

On being a Nazi

Tattoo artist turned beauty mogul, Kat Von D, has not escaped the fate of the rumor mill. I remember when someone told me that ‘Kat von D is a Nazi.’ “But, she’s Hispanic,” was all I could say. You can’t be a Nazi and Hispanic, right? That duel identity would surely make anyone implode on themselves.

But, obviously, you can be Hispanic and Anti-Semitic. And this is the rumor Kat Von D addresses at the beginning of the the 11 minute video. She tells viewers that she was born in Mexico to Argentinian parents. She then goes on to tell us that Spanish was her first language. Just in case you didn’t believe her, she then says the statement all over again in Spanish.

While she has disabled comments on the youtube video, citing that “there are way too many trolls out there who aren't capable of having considerate conversations about topics like these” (source), she did not deactivate the comments on her Instagram post about the video. Some people questioned what being Latina had to do with the Nazi rumor.

I do not believe that Kat von D was saying “I’m Latina therefore I cannot be racist/ Anti-Semitic.” But I do think she was pointing out that Nazis glorified European whiteness. While she has pale skin, she is not European or White and therefore cannot be a Nazi. Her bringing up her own heritage was a way, I think, of addressing the fact that some people have an idea of what they believe a Latina should look like and that Kat Von D does not fit that stereotype for some people. As a Latina myself, I know how society expects Latinas to look and behave and when you don’t fit their mold, your Latinidad is challenged. But, again, being non-white does not mean you cannot be racist or Anti-Semitic.

According to 37 year old beauty icon, the Anti-Semtic rumors come from when she was a reality TV star on Miami Ink. When she joined the cast, the ratings went up and Kat Von D says that is when “hazing” began from a cast member who felt threatened. The hazing got so out of control that Kat Von D chose to leave the show. Because of her popularity, the network offered her own tattoo reality show spin off show called L.A. Ink. When she was leaving, she had left autographed photos for the production crew. Once the cast member who had been harassing Kat Von D found out about the spin off, he took one of the autographed photos to the network. In addition to her autograph, there was an Anti-Semitic comment and the scorned cast member threatened to release the photo unless the spin off was canceled. She did not confirm if the cast member wrote the message himself. There would be no way of knowing that. Kat Von D says production with L.A. Ink continued because network could tell that the Anti-Semitic comment was not her hand writing.

Kat Von D says she speaking out now because of her son. “None of this feels good to relive. But I have a son now and seeing all these awful comments and the things people are saying, I can’t just sit around and pretend like it’s gonna go away. And it sucks that over this last decade that every time this 8x10 comes up I have to, you know, be reminded of this really awful, traumatizing time. And after all this recent hate, it’s just -enough is enough. It’s time for me to finally speak up and set the record straight”

On Being Anti-Vaxx

Kat Von D struggles to talk about this subject a little bit more that than the other rumor which isn’t surprising. She is putting her family in a vulnerable space. She says, “I am not an anti-vaxxer. What I am is a first time mother.”

She explains that she is the type of mom who obsesses over the ingredients of what is going “in or on [her] baby.” When she was pregnant, she was asked if she would vaccinate her child. In the video she says she was hesitant. However, she was much or adamant in the original post.

The post where she initially shared that she would not vaccinate her child has been taken down but the caption was as follows:"And, if you don’t know what it’s like to have the entire world openly criticize, judge, throw uninformed opinions, and curse you - try being an openly pregnant vegan on Instagram, having a natural, drug-free home birth in water with a midwife and doula, who has the intention of raising a vegan child, without vaccinations." (source)

It’s a post that led to a boycott of Kat Von D Beauty.

In another Instagram post, Kat Von D wrote: “My husband @prayers and I are NOT anti-vaxxers,” she wrote. “We are not against vaccines. Just because we have hesitancies and valid concerns about injecting our baby with specific chemicals and toxins does not mean we are anti anything” (source)

In the end of the youtube video, Kat Von D expresses regret for having shared her and her husband’s stance on where they were at the time in regards to vaccinating their child. She says. “Since then, we have decided as parents to consult with our pediatrician and just let him educate us and guide us… Unlike before, I’ve learned my lesson and I am choosing not to make our decision or any of our baby’s health records public. And I just want to thank you guys for respecting that.”

I think some people expected her to say whether or not she was going to vaccinate her child in this video. Because she didn’t, some of the comments from the Instagram post about her video left some followers unsatisfied.

“You literally cleared up nothing??? You just danced around the subjects???

“Unfollowing.”

“Sales must really be down…”

In all fairness, that last comment may have a point. Sales may be down. Kat Von D Beauty recently released a new mascara. For the first time in its history, the brand is choosing another celebrity, other than Kat Von D, as the face of their latest product (source). Is it the first move in disconnecting the brand from it’s namesake?

Jackie Cruz is the actress who plays Flaca on the Netflix original series, Orange Is The New Black. Now she is the face of Go Big Or Go Home mascara for Kat Von D Beauty.

It could just be a coincidence that after a major scandal and boycott that the brand is featuring a new face. It could be that Kat Von D herself is choosing a fresher face so she can spend more time with her son.

While her video did get some backlash, many of the comments were in support of Kat Von D sharing her side of the story.

“Don’t spend another secon on this, darling. You are an amazing person, and don’t need to defend yourself! Just live your beautiful life with your beautiful family, and don’t look back.”

“I just watched your video and commend you for your courage to stand up to those who hate. I think you are amazing! Ps I love your makeup”

New Beauty Gadget Hydrates Your Skin Where Ever You Go - And Gives Back To Worthy Cause

@bufferingbetty

Glow + Grow.

There is one universal rule in the realm of beauty: hydration is queen. Your skin feels and looks better when you coat yourself in moisturizers. Your hair has incredible luster when you find that right perfect routine. Sometimes, we need extra help to get us there. Especially if we are naturally dry. Air conditioners in the summer and heating systems in the winter dry out your skin even more. Hey Dewy is a facial humidifier that promises to keep your skin fresh + juicy. A product that just launched in January of this year kicked off with philanthropic goals in mind. They donate 10% of their proceeds to The Water Project.

Meet Hey Dewy

The Big Claim: “effortlessly immerse your face over a cool, clean mist for just minutes to hydrate your skin and hair for a revitalized look … moist-ify your skin with micro-splashes of cool water aerosols for incredible results. It can also be used to hydrate your hair and clear your sinuses, providing an overall healthier lifestyle.”

It’s so small and cute!

It’s the perfect size for travel!

As someone with dry skin

I absolutely could see myself using this in my car. I drive a lot and all winter long I use the heater and can feel moisture draining from my skin. My skin starts to feel tight. In other posts I’ve talked about keeping facial sprays in my bag to hydrate my skin.

If I’m wearing makeup, I will literally freeze using the heater in small bursts to make sure my skin doesn’t start to look crusty. So maybe this would be handy!

This is not a facial steamer.

Steamers blow warm air that help open your pores and are perfect to get a greater deep clean to your skin. Pepper has shown us all on her IG how she preps her skin for the perfect facial using a steamer.

But Hey Dewy is a facial humidifier that provides a cool mist for the sole purpose of improving skin hydration.

This could be something you use in your home office or even at work. Your boss is on level 10, take your 15 to meditate and hydrate.

For Profit, For a Purpose, For People

Ulta has a shade finder to help you pick your color. Though there is a mix of neutral, warm, and cool shades, there seems to be a consistent pink tint to many of the colors. Even the ‘warm’ shades which seem fairly pink or orange.. I haven’t seen them in person to be totally certain. According to Smith + Cults description of the colors, they warm tones should lean yellow appear more orange.

“Melting” is the word that continuously circles the description of this foundation. It leads me to think that you may need the warmth of your fingers to best work this foundation into your skin.

One Of Our Favorite Brands Just Dropped A Lippie That Will Make Your 90s Heart Skip A Beat

Oh, Snap!

It’s no secret that, here on Meetpepperb.com, that we go hard for The Lip Bar! It’s more than just makeup. It’s a whole damn beauty revolution. Their vision of beauty and the version of beauty that they give this industry is unlike any other. The founder, Melissa Butler, is also just a badass bawse lady. Of course, the makeup ain’t half bad either. Their newest release will take your back to courtyards, high tops, and roller blades.

Meet Minimalist

I remember the first time I wore lip gloss. 1999, I was 9. There was a beauty supply/dollar store right down the block from my after school program. The first thing I saw when I walked into the store was that the end cap of one of the aisles had all these tiny clear lip glosses. I picked one that looked like pale purple in the tube but it had no color on the lips. When I put it on, it was the first time I noticed the shape of my lips. All my friends and I had that same lip gloss. It was thick and sticky and gave the illusion of more volume.

This gloss is taking me back!

The Lip Bar launched the Minimalist lip gloss with a homage to the 90s. In this image I had flashbacks of listening to Aaliyah and TLC. I see jewelry and hair styles that my aunt and her friends wore. I see genuine appreciation, understanding and love for the 90s. Not the tacky rip off we have been seeing lately with no inclusion of the culture of women who originated the style.

That authenticity is what keeps us going back to The Lip Bar.

“If no where else, your beauty is validated here.”

From the moment you log on to The Lip Bar’s site, they show you who they are. To have a dark skin, plus size woman, with natural hair right in line with a thin, blonde, white woman SHOUTS to every consumer who is beautiful in their vision: black girls, brown girls, big girls, those of us who don’t see ourselves reflected as beautiful in far too many spaces. To then have that image followed by a clear statement that validates our beauty and the struggle of under-representation and misrepresentation exemplifies the powerful voice behind this brand.

The Lip Bar just had the grand opening of their flagship store in Detroit just a couple of weeks ago!

And there is much more coming from the lip Bar too!

A couple of days ago, they had this survey link in their IG stories. The survey featured questions asking to give feedback on what would make the ideal lip palette. Is a lip palette going to happen???

aaaand...

This happened in January.

They posted a picture of an empty compact with this caption:

”… after 6 years of busting my ass to create amazing products, grow the brand and launch with major retailers... WE’RE EXPANDING OUTSIDE OF LIPS!! 🎉🙌🏾🙀” (source)

What do you think is going to fill that compact? I’m hoping for blushes, highlighters and bronzers but highlighter is my very first guess.

While we wait, we’ll perfect our pout.

Minimal. Never boring.

Setting Your Makeup With Powder Just Got An Upgrade

@bufferingbetty

Slay all day.

Finding products that make your makeup last all day is what makes a ‘holy grail’ product. Setting your face is the key and we’ve all got our tricks that work for our skin. Pressed powder, setting spray, and a loose setting powder all have a place in our makeup bags. Stila is bringing innovation to getting your makeup to stay all day with a new way to set your face.

Meet IN THE BUFF pOWDER sPRAY

That’s right! A spray setting powder!

Did setting your makeup just get easier or messier?

Here’s the thing. Unlike a typical liquid setting spray, which you apply directly to your face, this powder setting spray is meant to be applied to your brush.

In your fantasy, you can image an aerosol type of spray with powder that easily sets your face or applies lashes (bc i still have no clue how to). But in reality, the spray would camel spit powder on your face, get in your hair and ruin your outfit. I don’t think your makeup would even set well if you sprayed powder onto your face. You need to press it in into your skin.

Stila’s In The Buff Powder Spray has a little bit of a learning curve.

Learning how to spray this powder on to your brush may take a few rounds of practice.

One other concern is how much product is lost. When your spray the powder on to your brush, a lot of it just ends up floating in the air. So the bottle may contain .39oz but you absolutely will not get to use all of it. Some product gets lost when you use a loose setting powder but it looks like a lot more will be wasted from a spray bottle.

The up side is it’s quick! I imagine for a makeup artist this would be better that pouring out a loose powder then swirling your brush in it. Just spray on the brush and then apply on to a client’s face.

The Big Claim: “Stila's loose setting In The Buff Powder Spray feels like spun silk on skin. This microfine powder instantly blurs imperfections and sets makeup, while skin-loving, oil-absorbing ingredients mattify skin without making it look dry.” (source)

Makeup for your Teeth? Pink, Platinum, + Yellow?? I’m Cringing.

@bufferingbetty

Because you don’t have rapper money and there’s a party tonight.

I am always one to say that makeup is fun in all forms. Changing up your look for a few hours is part of the self expressive nature of cosmetics. Getting a little weird with your makeup is always welcome. I, myself have green, blue, and neon lipsticks, frosty-funky color highlighter, and I have been itching to bleach my brows. Just for fun. But how weird is too weird? How far is too far in the realms of eccentric makeup?

The colors

Ok. As Americans, we have a pretty basic standard for what teeth should look like. Our ideal is bright, white, straight, and clean teeth. (Lord, doesn’t that say so much, but I digress). So the Chrom tooth polish that makes the most sense to me is the “Pearly White” shade. Maybe you’ve been drinking too much coffee lately and it’s showing on your teeth. You have an event to attend and want brilliant white teeth to make your smile just that much more beautiful. But, with Chrom, you have the option of making your smile sparkle with glitter, with green teeth, and, yes, YELLOW.

This color is Glitterati Chrom. 1 of their 3 glittery shades. Can’t lie, I love glitter and this looks like something I’d give a try to. Maybe. While your teeth look brighter, they also look kind of dirty. But still not too bad.

Ok I almost bought Glitterati Party because this is just freaking cute.

No. No, sorry, Just no. Glitterati Gold looks like you ain’t brushed your teeth in 7 months. I almost called a lawyer to bring a lawsuit for causing me trauma and making my spine cringe!

Chrom toothpolish in Baby Blue and in Mint gave me some positive feels all over again. This is very appropriate for music festivals, laser shows, raves (are they still a thing), basically any party where there is a girl with a hula hoop, pigtails with yarn, and gemstones on her face.

But then this color happened.

24 Karat Toothpolish is cancelled. It looks like she caked Hot Cheetos on to her bottom teeth. It looks like her teeth have been replaced with Cheez-Its. It looks like the concept of a toothbrush had never been introduced. It looks so crazy, it changed history! Oy vey. Ay Dios. No puedo.

I’m weak.

And here we have Chrom tooth polish in Sunshine. Right.

When I was a kid, I remember my friends and I pressing silver gum wrappers on to our teeth and pretending we were rappers, singing lyrics no 9 year old should sing. I don’t know about other play grounds around the country, but on 104th between 2nd + 3rd Ave in NYC, that’s what we did. I remember we would also take the brown wrappers off a Reese’s peanut butter cup and wrap them around our teeth and pretend we were hillbillies.

Chrom Tooth Polish is just an extension of that. Playing pretend. Dressing up. Having fun. So I joke about how crazy some of the colors look, but in the end, it is just makeup.

Is it fashion or is it Corny?
